Yang Liu

Bio: Dr. Yang Liu is an Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering at TAMU. Prior to joining TAMU, he held positions as research staff at Argonne National Laboratory and postdoc at University of Michigan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. Dr. Liu’s research has been focused on 1). Multi-scale M&S for thermal-fluid systems using physics-informed machine learning; 2). Data assimilation and uncertainty quantification on M&S for advanced nuclear systems; 3). Intelligent modeling, optimization, and control for advanced nuclear systems using AI/ML. He has published more than 40 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings.
