Zaid attended MeV summer school

Zaid attended The Modeling, Experimentation, and Validation (MeV) Summer School, an intensive two-week on-site program for early career researchers and scientists. The school was held July 29 – August  9, 2024 and hosted by Argonne National Laboratory (ANL).

Zavier presented paper at INMM

Zavier Ndum Ndum presented his pioneering research on the “Design, construction, and calibration of an Avalanche-confinement Tissue Equivalent Proportional Counter (AcTEPC) for Radiation Monitoring in Space and Therapeutic Applications” at the 65th Annual Meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management (INMM) in Portland, Oregon. This project, which began as part of his master’s thesis at Politecnico di Milano, Italy continues to advance at Texas A&M University, where Zavier integrates artificial intelligence and Large Language Models into his work.

Zavier awarded ANS Graduate Scholarship

PhD student in SMART group Zavier Ndum Ndum has been awarded the prestigious American Nuclear Society (ANS) Graduate Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. This accolade recognizes his outstanding efforts and academic achievements in nuclear science and engineering. The scholarship highlights his dedication to pushing the boundaries of nuclear research and his commitment to making significant contributions to the field.

Zavier selected as a Student Ambassador for the Texas A&M Institute of Data Science (TAMIDS)
